Intermediate Balance Exercises


In part 2 of our Balance series, Beth Patterson, PT, of Patterson Physical Therapy, teaches us some exercises to improve balance once you are comfortable with all of the beginner balance exercises. Intermediate balance exercises are appropriate when you are able to stand on one leg for 10 to 15 seconds. You'll want to remain barefoot if possible and be sure to have a chair, counter, or wall for safety.

Advanced Balance Exercises


Beth Patterson, PT of Patterson Physical Therapy teaches you more advanced balance exercises in Part 3 of our Balance series. Regular balance exercises can help reduce your risk of falls and increase your stability as your perform your daily activities. Exercises include single leg stretches and poses to improve your balance. You'll need a chair and a strap/towel to assist you with these exercises.
